◼ Sinônimos Inglês headlight; beam;
OBS: In Britain, "headlamp" refers to the actual unit, whereas "headlight" is used for the unit as well as for its function and where emphasis is on the actual light produced by the lamp. In North America the terms are interchangeable.
A headlamp is a lamp attached to the front of a vehicle designed to illuminate the road ahead. While it is common for the term headlight to be used interchangeably in informal discussion, headlamp is the term for the device itself, while headlight properly refers to the beam of light produced and distributed by the device.
