Embora um dicionário jurídico apresente a sua possível tradução como “depositário de bens de penhora” e o IATE apresente traduções como “administrador”, “mandatário”, “curador” ou fiduciário”, é usual a manutenção do termo inglês, principalmente, na subárea financeira.
- O trust é um contrato privado, comum no exterior, no qual o seu instituidor (settlor) transfere a propriedade parcial ou total de seus bens para um agente fiduciário (trustee), que assume a responsabilidade administração e de destinação destes bens, em benefício do próprio instituidor ou de herdeiros indicados por ele.
