We noticed that from the 29 individuals evaluated, 26 89.66% had a normal response, and 3 10.34% had an altered response on the Romberg test.
Regarding the Romberg-Barré test, 16 55.17% presented normal responses and 13 44.83% had an altered response.
Na prova de Romberg-Barré, 16 55,17% apresentaram resposta normal e 13 44,83% resposta alterada.
Analyzing the answers from the individuals in the Romberg test Table 1, we noticed that of the 29 individuals evaluated, 26 89.66% had normal responses and 3 10.34% had an altered response.
In the Romberg-Barré test Table 1, of the 29 individuals evaluated, 16 55.17% had normal response and 13 44.83%, had an altered response.
In order to assess the static and dynamic balance and cerebellar function, we used the following tests described by Mangabeira-Albernaz & Ganança 1976: Gait Test, Romberg and Romberg-Barré, Unterberger test, Extended Arms Test, diadochokinesia and dysmetria tests.
We noticed a significant increase in the number of altered results in this test when compared to the Romberg test, which can be explained by the fact that the Romberg-Barré test is an augmented Romberg Test, thus requiring better body balance.
